In the book eye of the crow,Sherlock holmes is the main character.He has a few reelationships with characters,lots of chacter traits and facts about himself.He is sly and intelligent becaus,he escaped from jail.He has a"sixth sense" because his dad(Wilber force holmes)has a sixth sense too.He is also half Jewish because,the Jewish legend says your only Jewish if your mom is Jewish,not your dad.He also has an older brother who works for the goverment,but he's not really a character in the book.He mostly has an relationship with Malefactor,a peer,alley and a mentor.Rose and Wilber-parents,Mohammed-jailmate,and Irene is a friend.
Sherlock is also very poor.He lives in a flat,close to the "mint".He is a very brave 13 year old boy because he is living in the "wilderness",after ditching jail.=!

In the novel Eye of the Crow ,there is a charater named Sherlock Holmes.He is very brave and sly because he lived as a street person when he was only 13 years old.He is very sly by how he escaped jail without any bobbies knowing him.Alao,by how he snuck into the Mayfair houses.Sherlock is a very observant and confident boy.While he's living on the streets,he knows how to steal food from other people by observing when do they usually shop and how they shop.He believes in himself espcially when he lived on the street by himself.
Sherlock loves his parents Rose Holmes and Wilbur Holmes.But he hates the poor and lonely life that they have given him.Irene Doyle is his only friend.But now since she got hurt by the murderer,Sherlock thinks that this is all his fault,so he can't live at Irene's house anymore and he can't get her involved in this deadly game.Now he is using his mother instead.

I know he is very intelligent because he knows what to do if trouble is near(eg.
He threw walnuts at the other side of the backyard, when a hound was in the house he was going to break in, so he could just jump on the house's roof). But even though he is very intelligent, he is half~ Jewish,causing the police suspicion with him involved in the murder grow stronger. Sherlock holmes is o pale, skinny boy, who is poor, but, his mother, was born in the Upper Class family(rich), but, his mother, Rose, married his fayher, Wilbur, her parents disowned her. And, Wilbur, who was expected to have a job at the University, did not get the job. Mainly because Rose's parents had friends in that University and told them not to give Wilbur the job. You would find Sherlock in a flat, just above the Hatter shop, near "The Mint".

There's many things i like and dislike about this book. I'll first tell what i do like:First to start of with it's about a poor 13 year old detective solving a solving a mystery.This makes the book very intresting to read to see what's going to happen next. What i don't like is that it's too descreptive for a kid to read. It uses new words but at the same time this a good thing because we're learning new vocalbulary. If i was going to rate rhis book out of 10 I would rate it 7. Some questions i have to say to this author is:What inspired you to wrie this book? Also how did you create the cover because it's very creative? Last but no least how long did you take to write this book because it is pretty big? For that's my opinion.

It describes the streets of old London very well. The author uses a lot of different words to talk about the streets of London.
The part about "Eye of the crow" is when Sherlock found the rifle in the one-eyed man's house.I didn't like when Sherlock got arrested by the police.If I could give it a rating out of 10 it would be 8 out of 10.I would recommend this book to grades 5's and 6's because it's a long book and it involves murdering and doing illegal stuff.I think "Eye of the crow" is a long and mysteriuos and I felt kinda curious to what happens next in the book when we were reading it.
I liked how Sherlock Holmes solved the case step by step.I didn't like how the detective took all the credit for what sherlock did.I think this book should get 10out of 10 because it is filled with suspense and the author used catchy words.Also,the story and charecters were very interesting to hear about.This book is great!
Eye of the Crow is the book that I chose to write an opinion on.
I really liked how Shane Peacock explained all the small details.I also like how the book makes us think more about solving the case beforewe read the chapter.Also, the author chose good words for the each chapters' title which made me want to read the book more and more.
I didn't really like when Peacock explained too many deatails that made the book very thick and made the book for the jounir grades.Some E.S.L can't read this book on their own because it might be so long and difficult to read.
Rhe rating that I cose for this book will be 8 out of 10.I think that will be good rating becase some parts I didn't like and all the others were good.
I infer that grade 5~6 will enjoy reading it.I think grade 5~6might enjoy reading this book becase it might too hard to read the book if your in grade 3~4.
The thing that I liked about Eye Of The Crow was that the novel was
mysterious with somebody murdering
the woman/lady.It was also abit
scary because when Sherlock goes to
the first,second,and third 1 eyed
men they are all sleeping. When the glass eyeball fell, and then the men woke up, then he hid under the bed(Sherlock). I would also rate this book ten out of ten beacause I really enjoyed this book. I would really recommend
this book to other people,even
adults to read Eye Of The Crow
because I would think that they
would keep on reading and before they know it they are done the book!
This book is one of my favourite books because it's very exciting ,and it makes me want to read more and more.Also i really like mystery books and this book really makes you think a lot.I liked it when the book makes you want to solve the case before you read on,and the characters are all very different and they have different feelings.The thing that i don't like is that it's a little hard to understand and and the words are really hard.The rating out of 10 is 8 for me.I recommend this book to my hard working friend's and other teachers.
Eye of the crow
I like the exciting moments that happened, for example Irene got hit by a chariot. I didn't like the beginning chapters from 1-5 because most of the stuff Sherlock did was skip school and goe around the neighborhood.
My rating from 1-10 would be a 5 because there were some great moments, but it was very boring in my opinion. the chapters were really long, and it didn't really flow.
I wouldn't recommand Eye of the crow because it isn't really the kind of book most people would want to read. Most people would want to read exciting, suspenceful, emotional, and interesting books.

He's very intelligent because he could figure out what's going on and keeps all his clues in his head. He is very serious with his work and exmans all his clues carefully.Sherlock holmes enjoys watching birds and eventually likes the opera also. Differrent from a normal 13 year old he doesn't want to go to school. Not to mention he has a older brother. For he has a poor life but a rich knowledge and for that's how he's going to solve the mystery of the murder,once and forever.

Sherlock dosent like going to school because Malefactor keeps on bullying him on the streets every day.

Eye of the crow is soooo good!!!!!!!! Sherlock is a detective and is 13 years old. I did not think the book was that good, and if I was giving it a rating it would be 6/10. This book should be read by grades 4-8.
This book is good for you if you are a suspenceful reader and always want to know what happens next. My opinion about this book was that in some parts it was good and exciting, while in other parts it was boring me out!!!!!!!!!
Eye Of the Crow has a lot of events and details, so I have a lot of questions! My first question is: how did you(Shane Peacock)think of Sherlock Holmes(as a kid) as a character? I mean, you could have just made up a character, so why Sherlock? At the end of the story, where was Sherlock running to? He never said where he was going and how did Sherlock feel when no one mentioned anything about him solving the mystery/crime? I have one last question: will I vote for Eye of the Crow?

The Silver birch novel,Eye Of the Crow,has lots of detail in the book.I liked the book because I learned a few new words that were really complicated.I liked the part when Sherlock escaped from jail,that part was relly cool!Think about 100 or so,gaurds blocking the entrance and the exit to the prison.That would be really ricksy and freaky,because if Sherlock get's cought by the police he could have been ran(or kicked)out of his town.

The book I read is called "Eye of the Crow", this book is very detiled and the book has a lot of descrptive words. So when you read it you can understanding very well. sometimes I like books with scary things because it makes you want to solve the case, and it described the setting very well. Also the sometimes you can feel the feelings of the characters by reading the book. I wonder how does Irene, Malefactorand Mr.Homles feels.
